SYNOPSIS

Type One-Derful Camp is the place to be, especially if you’re a Type 1 Diabetic teen. When Gwen arrives at diabetic summer camp as a newly diagnosed diabetic, she expects to find people who understand her. But then she meets Victoria, Jackie, and Simone, and she can’t help but compare herself to them, the kids who’ve had diabetes the longest. What does it mean to be a Type 1 Diabetic? This play is about girlhood, diabetes, and learning to love yourself!
